Madagascar Ground Boa

The Madagascar Ground Boa (Acrantophis madagascariensis) is one of Madagascar's largest and most impressive snake species. Known for its powerful build and beautiful earth-toned pattern, it is a non-venomous constrictor that relies on strength rather than venom to capture its prey.
Native only to Madagascar, this species inhabits dry deciduous forests, scrublands, and rocky areas. It is primarily nocturnal, spending daylight hours hidden beneath vegetation, inside burrows, or under fallen logs before emerging at night to hunt.
