Perentie

The Perentie (Varanus giganteus) is Australia's largest monitor lizard, renowned for its impressive size, speed, and intelligence. Native to the country's arid deserts and rocky landscapes, this powerful predator can grow up to 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) in length and preys on mammals, birds, reptiles, eggs, and carrion.
