Red Spitting Cobra

A Red Spitting Cobra (Naja pallida) can be displayed in a spacious outdoor private reptile house that recreates the warm, dry habitats of East Africa while providing secure containment. Such an exhibit would balance natural aesthetics with the highest standards of safety for both the animal and its keepers.

The enclosure would have a sandy, well-drained substrate mixed with small gravel and compacted soil, allowing the cobra to move naturally while reducing excess moisture. Large sandstone boulders and rock ledges would create shaded retreats and basking platforms. Several hollow logs and artificial burrows would provide secure hiding places where the snake can feel protected.
